Years ago the veterans met to share their post war lives, celebrate their achievements and continue their friendships.
Nowadays, that remains true with our veterans but includes more of our Legacy membership. Children, grand-children and even great-grandchildren...along with nieces, nephews and cousins. We've become a family of the 65th Infantry Division.
At the reunions we have fun exploring, but also share research notes of family history research as well as photos and memories.
Come join us to create shared memories, friendship and travel in a new location each year. We explore military history, museums and local attractions...and some really great meals together.
• At the 2018 reunion in Norfolk, Virginia the Association celebrated the 75th anniversary of the activation of the 65th Infantry Division on August 16, 1943 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.
• At the 2019 reunion in Dayton, Ohio we continued the celebration. We highlighted the 75th anniversary of the final weeks at Camp Shelby, the 65th’s time at Camp Shanks and the shipping out of the men from New York on the troopships.
• 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19.
• 2021 Reunion of Remembrance will conclude the 75th anniversary celebrations at Camp Shelby, Mississippi highlighting their time in Europe under General Patton through their inactivation on August 31, 1945.
