"My grandad, Carl F. Walker, was a 2nd lieutenant (and at some point 1st lt) in company A of the 259th infantry. He's listed as platoon commander/infantry unit commander. He went to ocs at ft Benning until Sept 1944.

" My cousin sent me his discharge papers and my grandfather was in Company F 261st Infantry 65th Infantry Division in European Theater. His name was Milton L. Wind. He was a 1st Lieutenant. He passed away in 2006. "

My cousin and I are very interested in any further information anyone who served with him could provide. He was wounded 3 times and received several medals. "
